Inclement Weather Policy

  • During extremely bad weather, it sometimes becomes necessary for a decision to be made concerning the closing of schools.  When a decision is made in the early morning that schools will be closed for the day or that schools will operate on a delay, the information must be relayed quickly to all students and parents.

A decision to close schools or operate on a delay will be announced by 6:00 a.m.

Below is how èAVƵ informs students, parents, employees, and the community about weather-related school closings and delays.

Please note that the absence of any announcement means that schools will be open as usual.

If inclement weather forces us to close schools, the Board of Education reserves the right to use early release days and Saturdays as make-up days.
